The Balkan Symphonjeta, a chamber orchestra founded by its co-artistic directors, Mirela Lico e Luca Pozza, boats amongst its members principal players of many of Europe's finest orchestras. The principal players ore often called upon as a soloist, in virtue of their excellent standards and of their noteworty musical experience. The ensamble concentrates principally on the vast and well-know romantic repertoire, but at the same time is concerned with the rediscovery and performance of works by, often unknow, composer from the Balcanic area. Thus, in a carefully planned musical voyage, the art of the more famous classical and romantic composer - Mozart, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Britten, Elgar, Verdi, Puccini etc. - is coupled with the lessnoted east European ones like Enescu, Janacek, Peci, Gaci, Ibrahimi, Simaku, Jakova and others. The principal conductor is Luca Pozza and the first soloist is Cristiano Rossi. Orchestra's concertmaster is Mirela Lico. Moreover, the Balkan Symphonjeta is able to form numerous chamber music groups (trio, quartet, quintet) of the highest standard. These smaller groups, coprised whit elements of the orchestra, cover a vast repertory from the Baroque period to the present day.
